Coffee Shop Spanish hosted its first Spanish Immersion Program in Cincinnati at Woodward High School in the summer of 2016. During the program, participating high school students connected with three generations of native Spanish speakers, experiencing language immersion while gaining cultural understanding and achieving community improvement. This opportunity lead to lasting friendships and opportunities with the Spanish-speaking community for our students.

In 2017, we are picking up right where we left off.

Beginning this summer, we will host our second annual High School Spanish Immersion Camp in Cincinnati. The camp will take place from June 12-16, 2017 and will offer immersion experiences for both beginner and intermediate-level Spanish students. Students can expect to take part in a variety of immersion activities, including interviewing native Spanish-speaking immigrants, taking part in breakout games, and performing short skits with small groups.
